Memory from Ryan Trinder

Cape Cod - 2017, my favourite of our family vacations.

We woke up super early, drove to the ferry, boarded and crossed over from Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Martha's Vineyard for a day of exploration. It was hot - really hot and after what felt like Planes, Trains and Automobiles, maybe 5 hours later - we finally arrived at Aquinnah Cliffs.

The cliffs being so steep, the 5 of us found an alternative way to climb down and walk along the shoreline. We walked for a mile or two, down and around to walk around the cliffs. A beautiful day, the sun was shining, and the ocean waves pounding in on the rocky landscape. What could go wrong - right?

Just after this photo was taken, the beach started transforming from a "family beach" to one where less and less "beachwear" was being worn. Lor and I looked at each other with a little bit of "well this is a little promiscuous". After miles of walking, slowly this happened more and more often until we realized we had unknowingly taken our 6, 7 and 10 year old daughters to a well known nude beach. We could only laugh.

The worst part, there was no way other way up. So not only did we take them to a nude beach, but we'd have to walk all the way back through it again. Let's just say, we were both pointing out the sunshine, the waves and "the was that a whale", quite often all the way back. One of my favourite memories and to date, one of the best days of my life.

Miss you Lor.
