Laura was a neighbour. I didn't know her very when they first moved into the area, but that changed with one meeting. About nineteen months ago, my son lost his battle with cancer. I was walking with the dog the next day, feeling the lowest I had ever felt in my life, when Laura came out to pass along her condolences. I don't recall exactly what she said, but she gave me a big hug. She knew exactly what I needed to get through that day. From that moment on, I knew what a wonderful, caring person she was. I will remember her kindness forever.
