Where to start? This picture is one of my all-time favourite memories with two of the best ladies I know. It was Laura’s 30th birthday. There had been previous celebrations but this was the actual day. And it was a Sunday. “Want to come by for a quick drink and toast my dirty 30?” Didn’t have to ask me twice. Our friend Leanne and I insisted we wouldn’t be longer than an hour…it was Sunday after all…
Well several hours and a magnum of champagne later we stumbled home filled with laughter and memories. We had played with baby bunnies that Laura was watching for her brother in law (Laura knew how much of an animal lover I was and indulged me whenever possible). We sat in her weird, empty basement hot tub. We joked and laughed and danced. Celebrating our friend. Our neighbour. Our partner is mom-ing. I carry this memory so close to my heart.
